After 30 years of employing instructing staff in the outdoor adventure industry and 7 years of running instructor training courses we have created a course that will give you the very best possible employment opportunities in a limited period of time. Our instructors are seasoned professionals and extremely passionate about their particular sport. They possess a wealth of knowledge that they are willing to share with you.
On our instructor training course you will learn a lot about outdoor activities in a relatively short space of time. Throughout the course you will develop personal competency alongside instructing/coaching skills to make you a well-rounded and highly employable outdoor instructor. *The Single Pitch Award (SPA) and the ICU Level 2 Kayak Coach award are both divided into the following phases: personal experience, training course, consolidation, assessment. The consolidation phase requires individuals to log a certain number of lead climbs or coaching hours before assessment. These days/climbs/hours are typically built up over a longer period of time than the course allows which is why we, in line with other course providers, do not include assessment on the Outdoor Instructor Training Course.
